So just finished watching Dorian Gray (2009). I must say it was good enough to watch again.

I read this article that said "half the respondents of a new poll say taxing the richest Americans by at least 50 percent is a great idea...." >.<

Towards the end, it stated that "the poll is based on a random sample of 1,097 respondents nationwide. It was conducted by phone between Aug. 27 and 31 by CBS News."

It all made sense after that, and now a word from Tom Mabe.

Sometimes I like to eat ginger root raw. It seems more natural. It's like untamed embers easing its way down my throat and settling to the very center of who I am. This feeling travels like growing roots and shoots out to every limb, and in the end, I'm warmed and feel just a little more alive. Alone, it's not sweet, but my mind says it is. It's bitter like many roots are. But I hardly taste that fact. I want more. Fire is symbolic passion; and, passion can be addictive.

Sometimes I crush it, make it into a hot tea, and drink it. The fire of taste and the fire of heat seem to be the perfect blend to my need. This burn tingles as it moves. I want more and more and more.

Sometimes I wonder if this root has a myth. Did a living thing long ago drink up the fire of the deep and live? It could make for an interesting myth, I think. My only regret is that it's more than likely not, and never was, true.

I watch the fire spring forth from the earth, and I can not help but dream of goddesses named Ginger and mortal men seeking the sickly passion she offered. It sadly ends in tragedy...because now, even I feel a little ill.

There truly is nothing new under the sun. Here I thought I was inventing a new word that merged two different styles, only to soon look it up and find out that I am rather unoriginal at best. Le sigh.

I have to agree with this. It's good to know traveling nurses from Europe and Canada. Some wait for as much as a year to get certain procedures done. During that wait, often times they have to be on disability due to the injury.

Now, I'm not saying everyone shouldn't have health care. Believe it or not, personally, I've found several ways to get the care I needed either free or paying at a significantly discounted rate. What the one-payer tax system will cause is a program with less choice, less innovation, more wait, and more taxes. Then again, we could always break this one payer system and tailor it to the diversity of each state. Behold, Mass.

Is it worth it?

Idk. Ask me in a decade when this program has probably gone through and has been running for a time. I'll tell you one thing...if doing everything reasonable within the medical team's power to save a life whether extremely young or extremely old is no longer a priority, then I'll be pissed.
